A licensed customs broker (ตัวแทนออกของ) is a company authorised by Thai Customs to file import and export declarations and to handle the customs formalities, duty and permits on your behalf. Pacred is a licensed broker — so we don't just move your cargo, we clear it through customs from start to finish.
Pacred handles both directions of customs clearance. For imports, we file your import declaration, classify the HS code, calculate duty and VAT, apply Form E or other FTA privileges where eligible, and release your goods. For exports, we prepare the export declaration and the documents your buyer's country requires. Whether your shipment moves by air (Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang), by sea (Bangkok Port, Laem Chabang), or by truck across the border, a licensed broker manages the formalities end to end.
For most shipments you need: (1) Commercial Invoice, (2) Packing List, (3) Bill of Lading (sea) or Air Waybill (air), and (4) any Form E / Form D or import permit that applies to your goods (FDA, TISI, etc.). If your paperwork is incomplete, send us what you have — we'll tell you exactly what's missing and help you obtain the required permits before the goods arrive, so nothing gets stuck at the port.
Thai import duty is charged on the CIF value (goods cost + insurance + freight) at the rate for your goods' HS code, which can range from 0% to over 30% depending on the product. VAT of 7% is then applied to the CIF value plus the duty. Because the HS code drives the rate, a mis-classification can make you overpay. Pacred helps you get the classification right and estimates the total landed cost — duty plus VAT — before you import, so there are no surprises.
